An experiment in using AI to tell a story, Sandman: Deeper Dreams Still is a fan-made short graphic comic based on Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman series of comic books, put together by me and the writer Juan Lam.

We created this not as a way to take the human component out of art, but to bring humanity into artificial intelligence. Most of the images you see were created by artificial intelligence programs such as Dall-E and Disco Diffusion, but they were arranged and edited by me, and based on a story written completely by Lam.
